1981's LVL pedal is a pro-level preamp, uniquely voiced always on, low to medium gain. LVL is a professional low-gain device, which achieves overdrive gain ranges with a new and unique circuit. A combination of light clipping and op-amp push, gives the LVL pedal a unique sound and gain structure.
LVL is created for a perfect low-gain stage. It’s the culmination of a 4 year creation process at 1981, and a collaborative effort with John Snyder of ELECTRONIC AUDIO EXPERIMENTS. The LVL pedal works great on bass too, and stacks with anything. It makes most fuzz better if you put it after, and makes most overdrives better if you put it before. It’s also great if you hit the front end with a little boost!

This pedal does not use batteries, it uses a 9 Volt, DC, Center-Negative, 2.1mm plug power supply (like most all guitar pedals use). Use of a power supply higher than 9 volts can damage the pedal.
